Al Adan Hospital will be equipped with “Cutting Edge Technology” from Ecosir Group Finland and Sumetzberger GmbH Austria.

After the completion of Al Adan Hospital expansion project it will be one of the largest hospital complex in Kuwait, doubling its size and bed capacity. The hospital will be also equipped with cutting edge technology for intra-logistic conveying system such as the Automatic vacuum waste and laundry transfer system from Ecosir Group, Finland and Pneumatic Tube System from Sumetzberger, Austria both are latest healthcare conveying technology for hospital.

Maceen Al Sharq Co. was nominated and awarded the contract to design, supply, install, start-up, testing and commissioning these conveying technology for the Al Adan hospital.

The automatic vacuum waste and laundry transfer system will minimize hygiene risks by automatically and within 10 to 15 seconds remove waste and laundry material. The system decreases the risk of infections, speeds up patients’ healing period and improves the hospital staffs’ working comfort.

Hereby eliminates gathering and transferring contaminated materials through the hospital in trolleys along corridor and elevators that poses a great hygiene risk.

Meanwhile, the Pneumatic tube system transfers emergency samples from casualty, ICU, OT and wards to laboratory in a fast, hygienic and secured way. In same manner transport of important and expensive medicines from pharmacies are very secured as the system is equipped with RFID code tag solution to identify the users.

Overall both system meets Ministry of Health key design requirements and thus making Al Adan Hospital a truly state-of-the-art medical campus.
